Afework H Beyene is currently engaged in research on the ‘Theology-Environment Nexus’ project organised by EGST, which is a sequel to the already completed ‘Religion-Development Nexus.’ He is a member of steering committee of the AHRC’s research network ‘Keeping Faith in 2030: Religions and the Sustainable Development Goals’ and assistant organizer for the meeting to be held in Ethiopia.
