Séverine Deneulin is interested in the mutual engagement between the Catholic social tradition and secular development theories, especially Amartya Sen’s capability approach. She is also interested in how the intersection between theology and the social sciences can inform social action to reduce poverty and promote social justice. She works closely with Catholic universities in Latin America and Palestine.  Séverine Deneulin is a member of the DSA Study Group and serves in the Advisory Group to the AHRC-funded Research Network.
