Management & Co-Ordination
The project is co-ordinated and overseen by a steering group, consisting of the following members:
- Professor Emma Tomalin (Principal Investigator)
- Dr Jörg Haustein (Co-Investigator)
- Dr Dereje Feyissa Dori (facilitator of Ethiopia-related efforts)
- Professor Surinder Jodkha (facilitator India-related efforts)
- Shabaana Kidy (representative for project partner Islamic Relief)
- Naomi Popple (project co-ordinator)
- Dr Afework Hailu (Ethiopia expertise, esp. on Orthodox and Protestant Christianity)
- Dr Dena Freeman (Ethiopia expertise, anthropological focus on religions and development)
- Dr Paul D'Souza (India expertise)
The steering group meets regularly in conjunction with all project activities. Steering group members also serve as editors, contributors, and co-ordinators of our various networking and output activities.
In addition to the steering group, the following experts are consulted as senior advisers:
